The weather is getting warmer, and we are heading into summer!  I have a teenager who is going to Helena this summer to work for a relative and get some “life experience.”  He is my youngest, and I’m having a hard time with the thought of him being gone all summer!  He is so determined to be an adult!  Honestly, I tell him adulting isn’t that great, don’t be in such a hurry to grow up!  I am proud of his work ethic and determination, but I will miss him this summer!  On the plus side, I will have my new grandbaby, Clementine, to bond with!  Excited for time with her!  Life is changing, but in the best way!

No matter the season, I am always amazed at the dedication and reliability of our MOW volunteer drivers.  They are simply the best!  We have been getting some open routes filled, and scheduling drivers is becoming easier!  Their willingness to fill in when needed and drive in all sorts of weather and situations is amazing!  They let us know if we need to check on a participant, follow up on any issues, or make changes in their route.  They are the heartbeat of the MOW program and are invaluable to our success!

Allies in Aging has recently teamed up with Pooch’z B & B Pet Pantry to deliver dog food to MOW clients with canine companions.  Dog food gets delivered weekly in 3 lb. bags.  You can order more or less, depending on your pet’s needs.  This service is free of charge.  If you did not receive an order form for this program and are interested in participating, please let us know!
