Volunteer Opportunities

Our Volunteer Program is dedicated to connecting those 18 years old and older who see needs around them with opportunities that enable them to:

  • Share their experience and skills

  • Inspire those who are in need

  • Change their communities through volunteer service

How to enroll:

Complete the Volunteer Application. Our Volunteer Program Manager will contact you for an appointment to discuss your skills, experience, and interest to help match you to a volunteer opportunity.

  1. Download the Enrollment Form to your computer.​

  2. Fill out form. IMPORTANT - Make sure to download the PDF to your computer, do not fill it out in the browser tab.

  3. Email back to AVP@alliesinaging.org or mail to 1505 Avenue D, Billings, MT 59102.​

Meals on Wheels Delivery

For 2.5 hours 1 day per week, deliver meals to qualified home-bound seniors in Yellowstone County.

Rides Transportation

Transport a senior to non-medical destinations such as grocery stores, post offices, hair salons, etc.

Pantry Pals

Volunteer as a personal grocery shopper every other week for a home-bound senior.

Friend Companion

Visit a senior once a week to engage in friendly chats and in-home activities.

Social Buddies

Make a new friend through telephone reassurance calls.

Chore Corps

Skilled volunteers helping to reduce home hazards.

Bookkeeping Assistance

Basic bookkeeping functions and kitchen table declutter.

The AmeriCorps Senior Companions program focuses on providing assistance and companionship to older adults who have difficulty with daily living tasks or who are experiencing feelings of loneliness and isolation. As a Senior Companion, you will help create new possibilities and improve the quality of life for adults with physical, emotional, or mental health limitations. Your time and companionship will enable older adults to remain in their own home and age in place, reduce feelings of loneliness, and give family caregivers a break.

The Yellowstone County Guardianship Council is a volunteer organization of professionals and community members who operate under the umbrella of Allies in Aging. The Guardianship Council serves as a long-term advocate for cognitively incapacitated individuals who reside in Yellowstone County, assisting with healthcare and daily living decisions when no family is willing or able to provide this for the individual.
