It’s Fall! Hopefully we will have some cooler weather after the very hot summer we had!   What are your favorite activities to do in the fall, when the weather is cooler?

Stacy's grandbaby, she's growing so fast!

I have been trying to lose some weight, but I have plateaued for the last several months.  My doctor said the only way I am going to break my plateau is by exercising regularly. Sigh.  I know exercise is important, but I just can’t seem to get excited about it!  But the benefits of exercise, especially as we get older, are undeniable.  Exercise helps with increased mobility and fall prevention, strong bones and muscles, reduces the risk of cognitive issues, and helps promote better sleep!  Suddenly, I’m getting more excited about exercise!

I have mentioned my first grand baby was born this year, and soon she will be crawling and moving around.  I want to keep up with her and be around to watch her grow up.  Regular exercise will help with that goal.  I’m going to start slowly, say 15 minutes per day, and build my way up.  Who’s with me?

There are all kinds of exercise programs for all levels of fitness. We have some great classes here at Allies in Aging and the Billings Community Center. If you get a chance, check them out!
